Consulting and services
Ultrasonic transducers, sonotrodes and piezoelectric devices, require multidisciplinary knowledge for development, quality control and technical assistance. This knowledge involves mechanics, electronics and applied physics, and dedicated instrumentation. To facilitate the use of piezoelectric materials and the use of ultrasonic solutions the ATCP provides consulting, courses and services of characterization at affordable prices.
The consulting is a practical alternative to speed up the solution of problems and development of ultrasonic products and piezoelectric devices, especially when there isn't enough time or internal demand that justify the training of human resources with advanced knowledge in the area.
In general we provide consulting for:
The consulting can be an additional step or even run in parallel to the course about piezoelectric materials (described below).
The first step is the diagnose of the customer's needs, and then the consulting is proposed with an approach divided in steps and deliverables. The payment is split and linked to the deliverables and to the achievement of the expected results.
We have a high customer satisfaction level regarding our courses and consulting services. Our customers are small, medium and big companies, laboratories and institutes of P & D.
Characterizations of ultrasonics transducers
We provide characterization of piezoelectric transducers and devices in the range from 1 to 200 kHz. The characterization is performed after obtaining the electrical response of the transducer as a function of frequency, load and sample sets. This analysis is performed using the TRZ Transducers Analyzer.
The characterization results are delivered in a report that includes, besides the impedance curve versus frequency of transducer, the frequencies and impedance at resonance. The contracting of characterization services is an interesting alternative when there is a demand that doesn't justify the purchase of TRZ Analyzer.
The piezoelectric ceramics are used in many applications, for example, in converters for ultrasonic welding, ultrasonic cleaning transducers and sensors of vibration.
In most applications, the piezoelectric ceramic is the main element. It is very difficult to ensure a quality standard without knowledge of their characteristics, strengths and limitations. In general, the manufacture of equipments using piezoelectric ceramic materials requires frequent technical assistance and the process has low reproducibility due essentially to the lack of knowledge by the manufacturer.
The course about piezoelectric materials offered by ATCP is oriented to practical applications and covers all the fundamental knowledge related to the subject. It is divided into two main parts, with the following topics:
Part 1 – Piezoelectric materials (piezoelectric ceramics/piezoelectric crystals)
Part 2 – Ultrasonic transducers
Usually the content is customized to cover specific topics in accordance with customer needs and is offered in the form of a presentation accompanied by printed material. It also included articles, application notes and references.
The course duration is about four hours and can be offered either on the facilities of ATCP or at the customer facilities. There are no special requirements for the training of participants, however, technicians, engineers and professionals with training in science and engineering has a greater ease of use the content.
The consulting is provided by the physicist and co-founder of ATCP Henrique Alves.
