FAQ: I am wondering whether I should use epoxy glue on the bolt… Or threadlocker?
We do not recommend the use of any threadlocker, resin or glue on the converter bolt or stack studs because it may reduce the vibration efficiency and decrease the mechanical quality factor Qm. To avoid loosening during operation, it is crucial to make sure the bolts, studs and threads are clean and completely dry, that is, without any lubrication. You can use a brush wet in solvent or an ultrasonic cleaner with antioxidant aqueous solution. The ultrasonic cleaning is the best alternative by far.
